St Patrick's, East Ilsley
If St Mary's has a Gothic grace, St Patrick's has a Lilliputian charm. Everything is on a smaller scale than at Hendred. The church was originally an agricultural building (perhaps a cow byre?). During the Second World War it was used as a canteen for soldiers. In about 1947 it was converted into a church by the zeal and hard work of the local community, with further reordering in 1994.

The congregation at St Patrick's is drawn from East Ilsley, West Ilsley, Compton and the surrounding villages and is responsible for many of the joint St Mary's/St Patrick's undertakings. It is rumoured to run the best parish BBQ in the diocese!
